Little Adventures For You And Your Doggie

Staying at one of the doggie friendly cottages, it is best to plan the best activities for you and the doggie to ensure your stay is as full or not as you both want. Whether that be country walks, sitting by the lake, picnic under the trees, swimming in the sea, there's lots to explore – and plenty of activities to enjoy with your four-legged friend. Here are just a few ideas to get you started!

Calke Abbey

Poised between gentle neglect and downright dereliction, Calke Abbey, the un-stately home, is unlike other great country estates. Entering along the Lime Tree Avenue offers views of the historic parkland, home to ancient oaks, secluded ponds and areas of National Nature Reserve. Doggie walks allowed as long as kept on leads – beautiful place for a family picnic and for those pooches who like the water some streams to dip in those tired paws.
